Softball Signs Five For 2011-12

No problem with signing any of these young ladies which include two local kids (Bishop Carroll and Andale). They sound like very solid young persons.

Sounds like we may be adding some speed which is always good to have in abundance.

What seems to be missing though is pitching. Hopefully, we will add a couple of JUCO arms later on. However, we have signed 5 and we have 4 seniors on the current roster.

Softball is an equivalency sport with 12 scholarships to divide up so academics probably play a large part in recruiting these young ladies. Not only the ability to offer them academic scholarship money but also the strength of the university in the study area of interest for each recruit.

Don't know anything about the other 3, but I have seen Stuever and Carey play.
Stuever should help us from day one.
Carey has good speed but needs some work at the plate.

Brianne played for the Originals 16U (KC) 2008-10. She joined the Missouri Rattlers 18U (Columbia, MO) for 2011. They will play a mixed schedule of 18U and Gold events.

Her 2010 Originals team won the Colorado Fireworks tournament with an 11-0 record vs. teams from AZ, CA, GA, NY, IL, and WA.
