Also considering Tulane and SMU according to the following:

She's Ballin reported in July that she was getting more and more interest:

In a continuation of the hot summer San Antonio players are having, here are more players who are drawing national offers. -Danielle Blagg ...

This would be a really nice get for the Shocks.

I wonder whatever happened to Jackie Patterson who signed with the Lady Shocks last April?

WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women's basketball program has added two players for the 2010-11 season after two-time NJCAA All-American Heather Robben and Jackie Patterson signed letters of intent to play at WSU in the spring signing period that began today.

Looks like she ended up at Hutch Juco:

I wonder if she didn't qualify academically? It may be that she will still come to WSU after a couple of years at Hutch.

Thanks, TMH. It is interesting that she would end up at Hutch. Hard to believe HCJA didn't have something to do with that.

Royal can keep an eye on her for us.

Her twin sister, Jasmine, is also at Hutch.

Interesting. I see that Jasmine tore her ACL which seems to be the bane of women basketball players. Of course, the Shocks are used to dealing with that as both incoming freshman Krystle Henderson and Kelsey Jacob tore their ACL's late in their high school senior seasons.

I thought Jasmine had signed an LOI with New Mexico. However, that may have been a case of mistaken identity. I see that New Mexico has a 5'7" guard on their current roster by the name of Jasmine Patterson.

Perhaps this is the answer to the following riddle:

                    From HCJA's twitter page:
Excited about our first commitment for the class of 2012! She brings something very different to WSU!

Perhaps the something very different that his recruit brings to WSU is a twin sister!

                    Pure speculation on my part.

Jackie is a Sophomore this year after leading Hutch in scoring (13.9 PPG), FG % (55.6%), rebounding (7.3 RPG) and blocked shots (36) while only playing 23 MPG. Not sure why she only played 23 MPG as she only averaged 2.2 PF/G. The Hutch team was 30-3 last year so they apparently have some players. Jackie was named second-team NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball All-American and was the Jayhawk West POY.

Jasmine redhsirted last year (ACL injury) and is a Freshman this year.

I wonder if the Shocks are still in on Jackie and/or Jasmine?

I believe the Shocks still have 3 scholarships available for next year. I don't know if Jasmine would want to leave at the same time as Jackie or play a full two years at Hutch.
