Lady Shocks v Southern Illinois

This weekend the Shocks host the Salukis. SIU are currently tied for first place in the Valley with Illinois State and have a record of 13-3.

During the week, Bradley lost the single game of their series with Northern Iowa. They are in ninth with a record of 5-12 while the Shocks are in eighth with a record of 5-10.

Shocks drop game 1 to the Salukis 3-1.

A pretty well pitched game by both sides with SIU out-hitting the Lady Shocks 4-2.

Kasha went the distance for the Shocks. The long-ball was her nemesis again as she gave up a solo homer in the 4th and a 2-run homer in the 6th to account for all of the Salukis runs. Kasha struck out 7 and walked only 1 in her 7 innings.

Kiersten Dixon homered in the 2nd to provide the Shocks only run of the game. Lindsie Mitts' bunt single in the 6th was the Shocks only other hit.

Danielle Glosson struck out 13, walked 2 while limiting the Shocks to 2 hits.

Kasha and Glosson will probably go at it again tomorrow.

Shocks drop Game 2 to SIU by a 9-3 score.

Alex Peters no-hit the Shocks through the 1st five innings before allowing a bunt single in the bottom of the 6th.

The Shocks did put up 3 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the 7th, but far too little and far too late to do any good.

Kiersten Dixon did get her 2nd homer of the day among the Shocks 5 hits in the 7th.

Shocks pick up a good win over league leading SIU today with a 5-2 decision.

Shocks came back to get 5 runs on 9 hits against SIU's ace after being 2-hit by her yesterday.

A tidy 6-hit complete game by Kasha who has been pretty solid and steady for the Shocks lately.
