  • Intersquad Track Meet Friday at the Heskett Center

Anyone who wants to see a preview of the Shockers T&F team should come out to the Heskett Center Friday, here is a link to the schedule: http://www.goshockers.com/ViewArticl...CLID=204822604

It's free to get in and you'll get to see most of the T&F stars like Audacia Moore, Chris Dickman and all the new recruits along with an alumni team of former Shocker greats. Should be a fun and entertaining evening!

Check out the phote of Chris Dickman (I think it is Chris) on the Article on the article headline about Friday's intra-squad meet..

Guy is ripped. Looks like he is ready to do some damage in the multi-events this year.

    :good:

Looks like RoyalShock's girl from Buhler is doing well:

Track vs. field — WSU's top track and field newcomer? It's freshman Tanya Friesen, according to her peers.

Friesen, a multi-events athlete from Buhler, was the first choice in the draft for WSU's indoor intrasquad meet on Friday.

"An interesting pick — she is a very talented girl and, yet, she's raw," coach Steve Rainbolt said.

For the third year, WSU starts its indoor season by turning over coaching decisions to the athletes. Captains for the Black, Gold and White teams draft newcomers and organize the events. Returners stay on their team for their career at WSU. An alumni team also competes for the traveling trophy. Trades are allowed, and much discussed. For the third year, however, the deadline passed with no activity.

Actually that is Justin Taylor, one of the Shockers' other top multi-eventers.

Thanks for the correction. Either way he looks like he has been working hard.

Thanks for the link to the videos '74. I think my favorite was the interview with Larry Staton, the 60 year old sprinter who competed for the Alumini team in the 60M sprint.

Loved his comment about needing a telescope about two steps into the race.

              Seems like a cool guy.
