Women's Tennis Wins MVC Regular Season Title at UNI, 7-0 - Wichita State Athletics

WATERLOO, Iowa - The Wichita State women's tennis team secured the 2009 Missouri Valley Conference regular season title with a 7-0 sweep of Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon at the Black Hawk Tennis Center in Waterloo, Iowa. The Shockers are now guaranteed the top seed at next week's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Omaha, Neb.

On a side note, the men lost a tough 4-3 decision to defending champion Drake.

They could be seeded from 2-4 for the Valley championships next week.

They are getting better each day and expect them to get as far as they don't have to play the Geese.
