Yeah, I thought the Shocks maybe gave this game away with the 20 turnovers, mostly unforced.

Still they were in a postion to win the game and probably should have won the game.

Outstanding game by Daria Frazier with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 3 steals. Amazing what she can do when she stays out of foul trouble and stays on the floor. Daria played all 40 minutes. Right now Daria is playing like an 1st Team All-Conference player.

Haleigh Lankster continues to impress me and is now starting to contribute some points including 2 treys tonight.

We need Marisah to regain some confidence in her outside stroke. She was 0-4 from behind the arc tonight and all 4 were bricks. She just doesn't look confident with her shot.

Bottom line though is the Shocks let a nice one wriggle off the hook tonight.

The kids from Bluestem ... well, they tried hard.

We started our "big" lineup: Marcy, Daria, Ashley, Jacie and Haleigh. To my knowledge this is the first time those three bigs have appeared on the floor at the same time. I assume it was an attempt to win the rebounding battle (done, as already noted) or because of matchup issues.

And then Haleigh promptly lets Kelsey Luna hit her first two three-ball attempts. Late in the game, Haleigh was face-guarding her. But Luna is a talent - she drove by people for layups, too.

As noted, just too many turnovers, many from dribbling into bad situations rather than defensive pressure from Indiana State.

I never thought Marisah was a particularly good shooter. But yes, we do need her to at least get close on her shots.

Late in the game, we started our offense with a five-out set a number of times. This was another first from us for me to see. We ended up with people in the paint, but did not start with them there.

Shantel did not play at all. Anybody hear anything? I assuming an injury. With Jadhon only playing one minute (she really struggles playing with her back to the basket), that left 199 minutes for the other seven players.

I was more impressed with Bradley than with Indiana State.

I told my wife the same thing on the drive home and by a pretty wide margin.

I think things are coming together nicely.

Stats and players are improving in fits and starts but overall the improvements and sustained efforts are quite laudable. One step back at times and then two steps forward. Overall they are moving ahead.

Kudos to a bunch of hard-working ladies.
