Although Val was 0-4 from behind the arc, three (maybe two?) of her made baskets were just inches inside the arc. On breaks and semi-breaks and kickouts, she has to be sure she gets behind the arc when she is that close to a three-ball.

But only a minor "complaint" - she is clearly a nice addition to the team.

She was the same way in HS. On one hand it's good that she's not looking down to check her feet. But on the other hand it'd be nice if she were a few inches farther back when she got the ball.

When my brother played he was alway just behind or on the line. I left no doubt by constantly playing a few feet behind it. Val should at least play somewhere in between those :D

Jody Adams Quote in Go Shockers.Com article on 11/2/08:

When Marcy Sudbeck was recruited to Wichita State, she had to wait for her moment playing behind two all-conference post players in Antionette Wells and Kiki Stephens.

"We've got to knock down some shots from the outside," Adams said. "That's what is going to open things up for our inside game."
