Just kind of a whimsical thought here....I know Jane Albright was the only NCAA Div. I coach to recruit/sign the Freshman of the Year in two conferences for the same season. (Jolene Anderson of Wisconsin/Big 10 FOY in 2004-05 and Kiki Stephens of WSU/MVC FOY in 2004-05. Signed one when she was a high school Jr. and the other as a high school Sr.)
It's way too early to speculate, but wouldn't it be great for WSU if Kayla Rice was FOY in the Valley? Then again, it does not appear that Coach Albright will be in a position to repeat the above feat and sign the FOY for another conference this coming year,......but fun to think about, anyway.....
