Coach Steve Rainbolt has announced 24 new Shockers in his 2017 women's track and field recruiting class.
Coach Bolt made his usual haul of Kansas kid signing 14 Kansas out of high school then spread out including a New Yorker, a Californian, 2 Spaniards, 2 Okies and 1 each from Colorado, Nebraska, Texas and Washington.
Not sure what class the two Spaniards are. The athlete form Washington is transfer from D-II St. Martins University and will be a junior. The rest are high schoolers.
I find it hard to evaluate Track & Field recruiting classes becasuse many of the kids grow and develop a lot once they get into the more focused and intense colleger training.
Obviously Coach Bolt's recruiting has worked quite well in the Valley. Time will tell how well it holds up in the American.
