With the last weekend of Valley play upcoming, we know that the Shockers will get the #1 seed and that Loyola will not make the Tournament. The rest is up in the air.
Missouri State hosts Indiana State this weekend. These two teams are tied for eighth at 8-13, so the loser of the series will be the other team out.
Illinois State is just a game ahead at 9-12 and must travel to play Northern Iowa in their final series. Even if they are swept, they still make the Tournament. They own the tiebreaker over Indiana State (2-0), and they split two games with Missouri State. However, the Redbirds have a win over the Shocks that Missouri State does not have.
All of the above assumes all three games of a series will be played.
The Tournament is hosted by Southern Illinois and starts on Thursday, May 12.
