    Shocker pre-game writeup

Some more of last weekend? Perhaps, but we are on the road this time.

Also, Rangie is the MVC Newcomer of the Week.

The game can be seen on the Ohio Valley network.

The Shockers lead 10-8 after the first quarter with five different players scoring a bucket. The shooting percentages are below 30% for both teams.

A seven-point lead for the Shocks early in the second quarter disappears, but they regain the lead by the half, 21-19. Rangie leads the way with five points and eight rebounds. Jyar is playing, so she must have finally cleared the concussion protocol.

The Shocks held another seven-point lead midway through the third quarter when the Golden Eagles went on a 12-0 run, finishing the quarter with a 41-38 lead.

The Shockers scored six in a row to take a 47-46 lead with three minutes remaining. Their only remaining point was a free throw with ten seconds left.

        Tennessee Tech 54-48 Shockers

The Shocks shot only 32% for the game and were 1-16 on three-balls. Twenty-one turnovers did not help either. Rangie had fourteen points and thirteen rebounds, and Jyar had eleven.
