Shocks locked up with Missouri in another close game at Wilkins Stadium.

Tied 1-1 into the bottom of the 5th.

Shocks scored a run in the 5th but Mizzou put up a 2-spot in the sixth to lead 3-2 going into the 7th inning.

Shocks drop Game 1 to Missouri by a final score of 3-2.

Shocks getting blasted in Game 2 and now trail Mizzou 12-3 in the top of the 6th.

8 consecutive Missouri batters have reached safely in the Top of the 6th and they have scored 5 runs in the 6th so far to put this one in the ol' deep freeze. They have the bases loaded and no one out.

Freshman Brianna Smet went the first 5 innings plus 3 batters into the 6th. She was relieved by Senior Cynthia Verhulst has has been ineffective.

This one is real ugly. Mizzou's 3rd baseman has a 3-homer hat trick.

It is becoming apparent that the achilles heel of the Shocker team is lack of pitching depth behind Senior Ashley Bright.

Ashley has been very good this year with the exception one outing against Iowa State last weekend.

Brianna Smet has been inconsistent and tends to give up too many crooled numbers.

Cynthia Verhulst has an ERA above 10 and climbing.
