  • Shocker Women's Golf - 2015 Fall Season

Senior Bryce Schroeder had the best performance of her career at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, MO. Schroeder shot 71-73-67 over three rounds for a total of 211. In today's final round, Schroeder shot the first hole-in-one in her career as a Shocker, and the 67 is a career best. The final round also ties the program record for best single round. Gretchen Huhnerkoch shot a 67 at the UALR Classic during the 2011-2012 season.

Her 211 total score is not only the best 54-hole performance of her career, but is also the best in program history. Teammates Meghan Schuetz and Maria Alejandra Villalobos held the previous record, shooting 216 in the past. Schroeder finished tied for sixth place, scoring -5 under par.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Wichita State women's golf team finished in 8th place at the Johnie Imes Invitational. The team shot 292-297-291 for a total of 880, which is a new program best in a 54-hole tournament. The previous best was 896.

    Congratulations Bryce. :encouragement:

I know I'm a little biased, with her being from Buhler, but I think Taryn Torgerson is going to have quite the career here. With the way she improved throughout last spring as a freshman and has been one of the top two golfers this fall, her trajectory is steep.

Coach McCurdy announces a 3 player signing class. Shocks have 3 seniors on this year's roster. Sounds like a pretty solid class but only time will tell for sure.

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State women's golf has signed three student-athletes to national letters of intent, announced head coach Tom McCurdy.

Women's golf related (non WSU); the '18 second' mark might be the best... :)

I liked the :42 mark better. That was a phenominal video. I myself can do a few tricks, but damn that was impressive.

I wonder how many tries that 7-player putting line trick took. I was surprised to see the 6th ball pass the 5th ball without causing a miss.
