    Game Three

The start time has been moved to 11am, I assume because of possible weather issues. Current chances of precipitation are from 0% at 11am to 40% at 1pm.

Looks like the split with MSU takes away all but blind hope for 2nd place.

Even assuming the Shocks win out, they can only control no better than a top 4 finish tie with Drake which would mean a 5 seed. Admittedly, that's an unlikely scenario.

Losing even 1 more makes 3rd look really difficult. Of course if

      Illinois State beats MSU today.
Indiana State takes the series from Drake
      UNI sweeps UE

And WSU beats BU later this morning then things could get a little interesting.

Considering the terrible start to conference play anything in the top half of the standings is quite a nice comeback.

It will interesting to see who pitches today considering how much Katie struggled yesterday and how well Kelsey and Jenni did. Could be the Bradley doesn't like the soft stuff.

Looks like Jenni is getting the start.

Shocks use small ball to plate a pair of runs in the 1st. They lead 2-0 early.

The Braves scored three in the bottom of the fifth (double, double, single, stolen base, ground out, single) to take a 3-2 lead. Jenni completed the fifth inning, but Katie is on in the Bradley sixth after Jenni gives up a lead-off triple. This runner scores on an infield error, and Bradley takes a 4-2 to the seventh inning.

In the Shocker seventh, Cacy walked with two outs, but Brittany flied out to right to end the game.

                Shockers 2-4 Bradley

Northern Iowa 2-0 Evansville - The Panthers have lost two games to weather - Evansville and Loyola, the two teams at the bottom of the standings.

Just about as bad a day as the ladies could have imagined.

Sound like HCKB may have hung with Jenni just a little bit too long. Second-guessing is so easy. OTOH you have to give credit to the Bradley pitcher for shutting down this potent Shocker offense over the final 6 innings.
