This may all prove to be moot anyway. It is not like Jody is an obvious choice for KU over the other two finalist. Personally, I have been impressed with the job Foley has done at UALR.

I'm not sure KU fans will be particularly excited about any one of these 3 finalists.

If Jody does move on we need to finds us on obscure, deep thinking out-of-the-box mad scientist women's basketball coaching equivalent of Chris Lamb. Unfortunately, I don't think those kind of guys/gals exactly grow on trees.

Should we view it as staying (Jody's choice) or not going (KU's choice).

A bridesmaid again, huh. That should do it for this year because I think the only two jobs that would have been of interest to Jody were Georgia and KU in that order. Not sure she was even a candidate for Georgia who filled that vacancy from their existing staff.

I guess the Utah job is open also but they reportedly were down to their 3 finalists 10 days ago.

If wsu can get Jody to stay or KU doesn't want her, she needs a raise.

If KU's former coach was making $400-500k and jody only makes like $225k, I see a raise in her future, to maybe say $300k a year

No. Her contract was re-worked last year and she has one hell of a good deal for coaching women's basketball at Wichita State. Her current contract has significant annual raises built into it plus a $400,000 annuity. Let's just wait until we see how the next year or two without Alex Harden plays out before we get carried away.

If it's not good enough to keep her than so be it. We move on.

More details about her contract are in this Eagle article.

hasn't she had the 3 most successful years in WSU womens basketball history?
