Nikki does not qualify for the finals in the 100M hurdles. Her 13.28 was 17th out of 24 competitors. Maybe too much to ask to come of the 4x100 and the 800 in such a short period of time. That in and of itself is pretty impressive.

Kind of feel for Shanique Walker of Jacksonville who had the 7th fastest time at 12.96 but did not make the final 8. They take the top two finishers from each heat plus the next two fast times. She was 5th in her heat so the two girls that finished 3rd and 4th in that heat moved on as the two other fastest times. The 2nd place finishers in the other two heats ran 13.04.

Wichita State's 4x100 meter relay moved into 16th place after Kentucky was disqualified which gave the Shocker quartet second-team All-American honors. They placed 17th overall after taking seventh in their heat with a time of 44.89 Thursday evening but learned later of the disqualification, the move to 16th-place and the second-team honors.

Congratulations to Shanice Andrews, Deja Young and Nikki and Taylor Larch-Miller. Nikki adds a 2nd team AA honor to her 1st team honors in the heptathlon. Especially happy for Shocker senior Shanice Andrews to earn that honor in her last event as a collegian.
