    Thursday: UNI (17-14, 12-6) hosts Missouri (17-13, 7-9)

    Friday: Missouri State (18-14, 13-5) hosts Tulsa (17-13, 12-6)

    Friday: Drake (20-10, 15-3) hosts Eastern Michigan (22-12, 11-7)

Good luck to the Lady Panthers, Lady Bears and Lady Bulldogs.

Great to see three teams in. Saw a lot of young talent in the Valley this year, hopefully see an improvement in the league next season. Real curious as to how Coach JA replaces the best senior class in quite awhile.

The Valley could certainly use as much success as they can garner in the post-season to boost the perception of the conference and yes their is some good young talent in the conference.

Jody has a couple of D-1 transfers available next year (although Rangie Bessard will not be eligible until the 2nd semester next year and she has 3 incoming high school recruits who sound pretty good on paper at least. And we have two starters, Michaela Dapprich and Alie Decker returning. I would anticipate that Jody will try to add a couple of Spring signees as well. Still replacing an Alex Harden, Kelsey Jacobs and Jamillah Bonner will be no easy task. Next year will indeed be interesting to see what the near term future of Shocker basketball will look like.

Money talks and so does respect that the Valley doesn't get. I wouldn't be surprised if she moves on, nor would I be surprised if she stays.

Looks like the WNIT really stresses a geographic bracket set up. There is a Western side with a West Coast section and a Mid West section and an Eastern side with a East Coast section and Mid East section. Probably makes sense for this tournament.

All three of the Valley teams are in the Mid West section. In fact, Drake and MSU would face each other in the 2nd round if both win their 1st games. If UNI can get by Missouri they would face the winner of the K-State vs Akron game in the 2nd round.

            NIT: Missouri 69 @ Northern Iowa 61

            NIT: Tulsa 78 @ Missouri State 72

            NIT: Eastern Mich 80 @ Drake 70

Post season came to an end quickly for the Valley women. Losing 3 home games in the NIT though certainly not very impressive.
