They worked fine. However, they weren't nearly as exhaustive and complete as all other softball live stat systems that I have seen. I in particular missed the inning by inning play-by-play detail where you could review the action for any inning.

For example here is the live stats from last weekends game at Baylor using Gametracker:
    http://www.baylorbears.com/gametrack...m=&startschool=&

I can still go back to those stats and check the play-by-play of the 3rd inning and see what all 8 of the Shocker hitters did in the 3rd any that produced 4 runs on 4 hits and 1 error, with 1 runner left on base.

Maybe that was available on the Texas live stats but if it was I sure could not figure out how to find it. If it is there I would appreciate being educated on how to access it.

About the most I could ever see was what the last 5 hitters or so had done at the point in time I was checking in on the game.

I understand now, and I was also frustrated. Later in the day I realized there was a tab on the right side I think that had play by play. You would lose the live updates, but it allowed you to see all the plays during the game.

Yes, you see the last five at-bats using the summary tab on the far left, while you see the entire game with the play-by-play tab on the far right. But @1972Shocker: is correct in that you cannot go to a particular inning, you have to search for it. I thought some of the ancillary stuff was pretty weak too. The service we use, GameTracker, another whose name I forget are all better than Sidearm that Texas uses. And previous games of the tournament are not available!! That is almost unforgiveable.

That HBP ties Erin for the career lead with 25.

What do you have to do to be able to watch these games on ESPN3? It gives me a "User not authorized" error.

You have to be a subscriber to the Longhorn Network.

Okay, I will have to look for that tab on the right. I tried clicking on just about everything I could see or find to get something more to open up. Are their pitching stats anywhere?

I guess you don't have to worry about your live stats services when you have your own TV network, although that leaves me out because I do not have access to the Longhorn Network.

Under the Individual Stats tab, you can find the batting, fielding and pitching stats - but you may have to scroll down to see it all. And the pitching is after the fielding, not vice versa - another goofy thing Sidearm does. There is a tab in the IndStats window to select the team you want to see stats for.

I will have back off my criticisms now that I have found the drop down list on the left side. I did click on that yesterday but for some reason it did not open up. My bad.

I'm out this afternoon, but there's a spare key under the welcome mat. You'll have to watch in the office though, it's the only TV with DirecTV. Make yourself at home and pardon the mess. Channel 677.

Jenni has the start against Texas, while Tiarra Davis, their #2, gets the start for the Horns.

Texas gets a leadoff walk then 2 lineouts to LF. After that, an illegal pitch (moving the runner to 2nd), a passed ball (runner to 3rd) and an error by Wright at 3rd scores the games first run.
                              1-0 Horns after 1.

Brittany had a two-out double for the Shocks, but Macklin followed with a strikeout. The bottom half of the inning you see in the Good Doctor's post.
