The Lady Shocks finished 9th in a field of 18 at the Rio Verde Invitational in Arizona (presumably hosted by Northern Arizona).

According to Coach McCurdy the Shocks had a couple of players battling injuries. Of interest in this tournament was that Missouri State, Illinois State and Bradley also participated. MSU finished in 8th place 5 shots in ahead of the Shocks. Illinois State was 15th 23 shots back of the Shocks and Bradley finished another 5 shots back in 17th.
