Very nice road win by the Lady Shocks. Earlier in the year we would only get scoring from maybe 2 or 3 players in a game. Now we are consistently getting 4 players into double figures and have come close to 5 on several occasions. This kind of balance combined with the D the Shocks play makes them pretty tough to beat.
Drake had to go to OT but they did pull out a 92-89 win of Missouri State to remain tied with the Shocks. Showdown Sunday will pit the best defense in the Valley (the Shocks) against the best offense in the Valley (Drake). A real clash of styles. Should be a very interesting game.

Not sure what to expect on Sunday. Drake isn't going to hang 90 on this WSU team. But Wendell is obviously really good. Should be a great game. The fact that man is master of his actions is due to his being able to deliberate about them.-- Thomas Aquinas

I did not get to watch the game all that closely so I was planning on watching the replay of the game in any case. However, one stat in the box score that caught my eye was that UNI was credited with 10 assists on 16 baskets while the Shocks were credited with 13 assists on 31 baskets. That may well be the case but it just seemed to me like the Shocks would have a bigger advantage in the assist department.

I noticed Kelsey left the game and the trainer was attending to her, so hopefully no problems. UNI face guarded Alie and wouldn't let her touch the ball; I guess they didn't realize we have other players who can score.

On Super Bowl Sunday:
Shocks (17-3, 8-0) @ Drake (12-6, 8-0) in a battle to see who remains unbeaten in Valley play.
Loyola (2-17, 0-8) @ Illinois State (0-19, 0-8) in a battle to see who remains winless in Valley play. In fact, if Illinois State does not win this game you wonder if they will go winless for the entire season.

Pretty entertaining half too. Hopefully we can wear them down, they have some big girls
We should ALL be such good fans.
Feel pretty good about the half. I hate to say it's kind of like yesterday, but all we have to do is make some shots. WSU had 8 more field goal attempts than Drake but made the same number, and Drake had 2 more of the 9 makes be 3s, the difference in the score.
