Shocks now up 5 and Bradley's in trouble with 2 girls struggling at +6 or worse. Bryce birdied the 6th to get to +1, the worst score we're counting now, and Samantha is only +2.
Not a bad start. Our top 3 are all even and Bradley too has lost their safety margin with their #5 Katerina Mangieri already +8 after 6. Still tight though with only 3 shots separating the top 3 teams, with WSU on top for now.
The Shocks have started well in this tournament, but the finishes have left something to be desired.
The team has played the first two rounds at +16 on the front nine and +24 on the back nine. Hopefully, we can continue the good play on the opening 9 and pick it up a little on the incoming 9.
Edit: Corrected

Long way to go of course, but it's starting to look more and more like a 2 horse race between the Shocks and Trees. Bradley is 6 back with a +6 to count and their #5 done (+12 at the turn) and ISU is 10 back with a couple of higher scores.
Bradley trying to crawl back in it. They went -3 since the last update. Paige Jordan who started with 6 straight bogeys went birdie, birdie, par to close the front nine at +4 and get the Gargoyles to within 3 of the Shocks who are still in good shape approaching the back 9 where as @1972Shocker: has said, they've struggled mightily all tournament.
Alejandra Arellano double-bogyed the 9th hole, the Shocks only big number of the first round. Still she finished at a very solid +1. Glad that 9th hole is behind us. Unfortunately 17 and 18, the two toughest scoring holes on the course this weekend still await at the end of the round.
The Shocks Front 9 scores today:
Megan Schuetz +1
Maria Allejandra Villalobos E
Allejandra Arellano +1
Samantha Stewart +2
Bryce Schroeder +1
Damn fine team golf by the Lady Shocks. Too bad they throw out the high score today. The Shock throw out a +2 for the front nine, but Bradley throws out a +12 and Inidiana State excludes a +5.
The whole team has made the turn, and the Shocks are throwing out a +2. That has to be a good thing.
That's very fine team golf. But you can have big swing in team golf and I still think it will come down to how the Lady Shocks handle 17 and 18, perhaps the two toughest holes on the course. The nice thing is that at this point the Shocks can afford to have any one of their 5 players blowup and still be OK. Bradley and Indiana State no so much.
Villalobos opens the back nine bogey - birdie - bogey to drop a shot to par and reduce the Shocks lead to 3 strokes over Bradley and 5 over Indiana State.
Illinois State backs off some as their 1st two players to finish their rounds (both among their top 4 today) went +4 on 17 and 18.
