I'm too disappointed to comment. I know I'll see the criticism of coaches, but Alex typically doesn't miss like that. Our defense is typically much better. We are in trouble.

The only saving grace is we could cut down the nets at home for a Valley Title against MSU.

No doubt we are struggling and searching. Whether we will find the answers we need remains to be seen.

Don't often see Alex and Michelle combining to shoot 6-28 from the field. Evansville's size and bulk no doubt bothered Michelle. Alex looked to me like she was jumping into her shot and floating towards the basket instead of going straight up. In any case, she simply could not find the range tonight. She got a lot of good looks inside he paint where she is usually money.

This Shocker team also seems incapable of adjusting to how a game is being called by the officials and Evansville outscored the Shocks by 9 from the line. Also Jody's lack of confidence in her bench makes it difficult to manage through foul trouble and perhaps leads to more players fouling out or playing with 4 fouls than you would like to have.

While the Shocks are still leading the league race by 1 game we are probably about the 4th best team in the league right now. The problem is not just that we are losing games, but we are looking very bad and skill-challenged in doing so.

I still think we should beat SIU and MSU to close out the season, but winning the Valley Tournament in St. Charles is very much in doubt at this point. The bottom line is that we are not a vey good basketball team right now.

At this point cutting down nets should be the last thing the Lady Shocks should be thinking of. We need to start playing better. Much, much better.

I suggested we would win the last three. You suggested UE was no gimme.

We don't even resemble the team that won 20 straight. I'm just looking for anything positive as I don't see much right now.

Did anyone listen to the post-game show?

I watched on TV, hung my head and turned it off.

Yes, I did. Not sure you can really call it a post-game show. You could tell Jody was really steamed. I think Brian Muller sensed it was best to maybe ask one question and to let it go.

I stayed to listen to last Sunday's post-game on the speakers in the arena. The speakers were not on, and she was not smiling then, either.

I don't exactly recall what was said it came and went so quickly. Something like:

BM: Coach, Evansvlle really brought a lot of enegy and effort to the court tonight.

                                JA: Yes.

BM: Thanks Coach, we will talk with you Sunday.
