If good enough a girl can play any sport. An outcome, there is now girls wrestling, where before they wrestled against boys. There wasn't girls sports in my day other than G.A.A. There were some girls who played on their boys basketball teams and were quite good. Not sure how a 4th grader plays on a high school team.
