Not the kind of start we were hoping for. I was concerned coming into the season that replacing Margo Pruis could be a big issue for this team.

Hopefully, we can come back tomorrow with a couple of wins.

The Shox (1-2) won the first game of the season today against undefeated Kentucky (2-1), 6-2.

The Shox were led by freshman pitcher Brianna Smet's 4 and 1/3 innings, allowing just one run. senior Britnee Barnett homered in the third to drive in 3 runs.

Our next opponent will be Chattonooga (1-1) at 11:45 A.M. today.

Wow, good job Lady Shocks! Both those opponents, Kentucky and Chattanooga, were both picked high in there conferences. Chat 1st in the SoCon, and Kentucky 5th in the SEC.
