All-American: Jadhon Kerr chosen as McDonald's nominee
    The Olathe News, Kan.

Feb. 23--Yet another honor came Jadhon Kerr's way this week when she was announced as a 2007 McDonald's All-American nominee. The Olathe South senior becomes the second player to receive the recognition in program history.

Olathe South is 18-3 and the #1 seed in the 6A State Tournament. Actually Jadhon's sister, Jadkhen (a junior) is the team's leading scorer at 14.2 per game. Jadhon is averaging 13.1 per game. Here is another recent article:

I have seen Jadhon listed anywhere from 5'11" to 6'1". Probably the heir apparent to Kiki Stephens and will probably backup Kiki.

Bishop Miege and Samantha Smith are 19-3 this year and are the No. 1 seed in the Class 5A State Tournament.

Samantha at 6'3" would appear to be the heir apparent for Annie Wells.

Jennifer DeGarmo is a 6'1" Guard/Forward who is reputed to be a very good offensive player with a high game of 41 points this year. However, her team has not been real successful this year.

On her radio show tonight, Coach Albright said she would like to sign two guards this spring. One 3-point shooter and one defensive stopper. Implied that she might be looking to the Juco ranks for these players.

Breezy Martin was a little homesick, but, she played post in high school. Jane wanted her to play a wing and face the basket. She never caught on, and did not want to. Quite a task to go from high school to D1 and have to change positions. As for the recruits, they all sound very solid. In order for anything to be better next year, attitudes must change within the team. Internallly, turmoil has eaten this team up this year. Girls/Women are so hard to coach through disrespect, distrust, anger, and petty emotional stuff. Guys can put differences behind them to kick another teams butt, but girls are mired emotionally in respect and trust. Those who display selfish, disrespectful and hateful behavior not only bring down themselves, but the whole team. Their may be more spots open, as some attitudes may cost players their team memberships. It's all gotta change!!
