When you say Jaz had another concussion is that something that occurred in practice recently? I know she received her initial concusssion in the UNI game and hasn't played since.

Shocks playing pretty well. lead by Chynna and Alex with 11 points each, as they take a 39 - 26 lead in the locker room at the half.
Jaz was hurt just before they left for their trip. I think Jody will try to get Kelsey ready for Sunday. They need her inside

Valley Scoreboard - Friday, January 25th

      WSU (12-6, 6-0) 72 @ SIU (4-13, 1-5) 59
      UNI (8-10, 3-3) 40 @ CU (14-4, 6-1) 54
      MSU (9-9, 1-5) 53 @ EU (7-10, 5-1) 77
      INS (11-7, 3-4) 65 @ ILS (13-6, 5-2) 77
      BU (7-10, 1-5) 62 @ DU (6-12, 1-6) 66

Shocks were the only road team to win today. Coming into Valley play I wasn't thinking the game at Evansville would be so important, but here we are. The Shocks have a very tough stretch here @Evansville on Sunday and the home against Illinois State and Indiana State next Friday and Monday. Not sure how that will go if we can't get either or both Jaz and Kelsey healthy and back in the mix ASAP. Probably will need more out of Jessica than we got from her tonight. Hang in their Shocks. Your turn to show Shocker tougness and resiliency.

Not sure. May have been more of an issue with size. Both Pierre and Patterson of good sized post players.

Two consecutive concussions may take a while for Jaz to be back in light of how we deal with head trauma today. And of course we should take care of her. I watched on a Web stream and Kelsey was suited up and was stretching behind the bench and ready to go it needed, though she was limping. I'm guessing she'll play Sunday, though she will be a bit off. If we win Sunday, hopefully we're healthy for the following weekend and yes, Jessie needs to bring her A game.

Did the Shocker women really only commit 5 fouls the whole game or is the box score wrong?

Kelsey Jacobs back in the starting lineup vs Evansville.

Jaz Gordon and Alie Decker still on the sidelines with injuries.

Evansville 21 - Shocks 16 at the half. The Shocks are actually extremely fortunate not to be further behind as their offense was simply MIA in the first half. Evansville was not a whole lot better. Evansville is 5-7 from the line, the Shocks 0-2 accounting for the scoring difference at the half.

Hopefully, one of the Coaches can check the team bus at halftime and see if they can find the missing offense. The Shocks simply can not survive another half of no offense and high turnovers.

Shocks 39 - Evansville 36 at the under 4:00 media timeout.

Evansville shooting a 1 and 1 with 3:38 to play when play resumes.

Samantha Heck's 3-pointer tied the game at 41 all, but Michaela knock down a shot in the paint, followed by a steal and two free throws by Jessica gives the Shocks a 45-41 lead with 1:45 remaining.
