After listening to the men's show, I decided to curiously listen to the woman's show. I expected maybe a clearing the air comment from Jody, but apparently, it's been swept under the rug. Not one mention at all? Like nothing happened? Interesting.

After listening to the men's show, I decided to curiously listen to the woman's show. I expected maybe a clearing the air comment from Jody, but apparently, it's been swept under the rug. Not one mention at all? Like nothing happened? Interesting.

I'm not surprised, nor was I expecting any comment on the situation. The coaching staff has been publicly and formally reprimanded by ADES and it had received a pretty good airing on Shockernet, on Bruce and Bob's radio show last week, it was in the Eagle and discussed on Channel 12's Sports Daily last night. So it has received a pretty thorough airing and I think the message has been clearly made and conveyed to Jody and her staff.

Probably time to move forward and see how things go. I would really like to see this

It's now official that Molly O'Brien has left the team:

I posted this here because it seems pretty clear this ties into the recent controversy surrounding the program.

I kind of expected that might be coming. I hope Molly can finish up her school work this semester so that does not go to waste.

While I am not totally enamored by the way this came down and I feel badly for Molly, I really believe that in the long-run finding a better fit will benefit Molly. She may have been in just a little over her head at the D-1 level, and even though I think she tried her best, she probably just lacked the size, strength and athleticism needed to compete at the D-1 level. In any case, things were just not going her way on the court this year.

I too want to wish Molly all the best in the future. She certainly seemed like a very fine young lady.

Hopefully, this will be the final fall out from the recent goings although it does leave at least a small black cloud hanging over the program. Hopefully, time and better judgement will wash that away.
