Something to ponder. OTOH what does it say about your conference when the best prouty rating on the team that is undefeated in your conference is a B.

I think one thing this does inidicate and which is something anyone who follows the Lady Shocks probably understands at this point is the this Lady Shocks teams wins with 1) defense, 2) defense and 3) defense. Not sure the prouty system, or most BB statisticial systems are very good at measuring the impact of a team that brings the D like the Lady Shocks do. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see more improvement in the O but perhaps may explain the low ratings. I think the O is getting better, but this team's identity is clearly on the D.

It would be interesting to see the prouty ratings on teams that can score but don't play much defense like Bradley and Missouri State who are both in the bottom half of the league standings.

The other problem with prouty is that our overall winning percentage, although high, is pulled down by the fact that we played a very tough OOC schedule. This hurt both our winning % and meant that there were less cupcake games for players to rack up huge stats in.

The Prouty does not have an A-F grade system. This was added by 1979Shocker as an aid to viewers. Because of all the working parts, it's hard to compare a Prouty value to a grade, but he's done a good job with his addition.
