Shocker SB at Missouri State

This loss was 100% on the pitchers. You should not lose to teams hitting barely over .200 when your teammates give 8 runs. IMHO, a very disappointing and to some degree a disheartening outing by Shocker pitchers. I don't see Erin McDonald as a D-1 level pitcher. She simply doesn't have the juice. But Alison and Caitlyn were not a whole lot better.

Clearly, the Shockers would be much better with Arielle at 2nd and Zoe at 3rd and Bailey in the outfield. Maybe that will still happen at some point. But even if that does happen the pitching is still a huge question mark for this team.

Yes, very discouraging. And these are the three conference weekend pitchers you would think. Recently, you get a very nice Sunday from Alison and Caitlin, and then this. You expect a freshman to be up and down, but you have to be able to rely on the seniors.

Neleigh has to break out of our slump. She is a proven good hitter, but slumps happen to good hitters, too.
