NCAA bowling has generally be less prestigious because the amateurism demands prevent college players from competing in pro bowling events. This means that the most competitive college bowlers and bowling programs are generally not the ones competing NCAA competition.

The long time standing National Title is the ITC (Intercollegiate Team Championship) which was started in 1975. That was won by both men and women's WSU teams in 2021. WSU women hold 10 championships and the men have 12.

The "new kid on the block" is the PBA (Pro Bowlers Association) Collegiate Invitational Championship and as the above stated, was its 2nd year. As the name implies, is by invitation. I believe only 4 teams participate in both men and women divisions. The WSU men won this title last year.

I hope we take this serious and properly invest in this program to include NIL dollars. Clearly, it is the best athletic program on campus and winning national titles, especially NCAA ones, is a big accomplishment..Remember, K-State has never won an NCAA national title in a team sport and we only have one. Go Shox!
