No surprise to see Aliphine named the MVC Track Athlete of the Week, here are some other highlights from the Shockers who went to Ohio this past weekend ...
---Sophomore Natalie Morerod, who missed the first 2 meets due to injury ran a 56.33 400m that should put her in the thick of things in the MVC. She was also on the 4x4 that continues to get better with a 3:45.
---Danielle Walker blazes a 2:08.77 in the 800 with Jen Taylor not far behind in 2:12.42.
---Good runs in the 5k from Patrober Murindat (17:04) and Scarla Nero (17:12).
---Tanya Friesen runs two good hurdle races in 8.77 and 8.79, she appears back in form for a good MVC meet.
---Cassie Craig competed for the first time in a WSU uniform this year and jumped 12-0 in the PV and ran 8.85 in the 60h, she should help the squad at MVC's in both events.
This weekend is low-key as some athletes will go to Nebraska and some to K-State Friday for a final tune-up before next week's MVC Indoor Championships.
