Great game by the ladies. Just didn't have the legs at the end to finish it against a bigger and deeper LSU team. This is about as proud of a team as I can be in a loss and the Valley had better be on alert.

Actually, the final is 64-56, LSU.

I assume because we could not match their height and length, we played zone until the last couple of minutes. And LSU played zone (these coaches played for Pat Summit?!!) for the vast majority of the game.

Jessie had 16 and Haleigh 13. Kelsey had ten boards and played like she belonged out there. Over half of our shots were from behind the arc (37 of 65). That is where a lot of our offense is even in normal circumstances, but we had lots of trouble getting the ball inside due to the LSU length mentioned above. We forced over twenty turnovers.

All in all, this was a very nice performance against, who knows, the best team we will see this year?
