Not exactly sure what you mean by depth vs experience. If you're saying our depth is not very experienced behind our 4 returning Juniors and 2 returning Seniors I agree.

I have to say that this is the most impressed I have ever been with the Lady Shocks at a Shocker Madness event. The ladies played a 20 minute timed scrimmage. Initially the Black team seemed to have a decided advantage as they had Haleigh, Jaz, Jessica and Alicia among our returning players. Only Chynna was on the White team. Michelle Price did not play, although she was in attendance. Not sure what the reason for Michelle sitting out.

The Black team did jump out to an early lead of 8-10 points but the White team consisting of mostly newcomers kept battling with the scrimmage ultimately ending in a 33-33 tie on a late basket by Freshman Alex Harden.

Haleigh wasn't dominate but played under control and in the team concept. Jessica was solid. I was pleasantly surprised by the play of the two Juco transfers from Georgia, Jasmine Jones and Nicole Wells. They both looked like they will be very serviceable players. Kelsey Jacobs had some nice moments. The two freshman Alex Harden and Molly O'Brien also looked good. I can see why Jody is so high on Alex -- very athletic. Molly looks like she could be the women's version of Graham Hatch. Even walk on Brittany Taylor played OK.

Darice Fountaine did not play that I recall.

I think the Ladies served notice that they will be a factor in the MVC race this year.

Darice is a D-I transfer, so I believe she cannot play until next year. Meld the Black and White team into one Shox team and the rest of the Valley will take notice. This is a nice looking team. I liked the battle between Chrystal and Jessie. They're fighting for the PG position, I would guess. Go Shox!

Just because she's a transfer, doesn't mean she couldn't have played last night though. I wonder why she didn't.

Correct. Joe Mitchell played for the men. I think we established on the men's board that she could have played. I arrived just before the national anthem. Was Darice even introduced? Was she in attendance?

She was introduced and was on the bench.

Thanks Sub, I really didn't look for her. Michelle Price also did not play but was in attendance and seemed in good spirits.

                  Michelle has an unspedified injury:

Junior forward Michelle Price did not play due to an unspecified injury. Adams declined to say how long Price would be out, saying that WSU would issue a release soon.

No idea why Darice did not play.
