The Shockers host Kansas in single game on Wednesday with a 6pm start time.
The Jayhawks have a record of 25-12 and were a preseason pick for fifth, bunched with Texas Tech and Iowa State at the bottom, among the seven schools playing softball in the Big 12. Nebraska (a loss) and Texas (three losses) are the only teams they have played who are currently RV or better in one or the other of the two polls. Their current RPI is 62.
The Kansas offense is led by Jessie Roane (OPS of 1.041) and Shelby Gayre (1.031). Harli Ridling has a team-leading seven homers, and she and Tarin Travieso have an OPS greater than .900.
Andie Formby (ERA of 2.43 and WHIP of 1.26) and Sarah Miller (2.53 and 1.34) have the vast majority of the starts for the Jayhawks.
The record for the Shockers is now 21-12.
Bailey’s ERA is 2.72 with a WHIP of 1.22. BaileyK in her relief role continues to improve her numbers, now at 2.72 and 1.50.
Laurie at .985 and Paige at .936 have the only OPS above .900 for the Shocks.
