The Shockers open the 2018 season with 5 games in the Plainsmen Invite hosted by Auburn this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Shocks open Friday at 12:30 against Marshall who received 17 votes in the preseason USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll which puts them in a tie with Mississippi State at 29th.
The Shocks take on #13 Auburn Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm and Saturday afternnoon at 4:00 pm. Saturday night the play Furman at 7:00 pm and then finish up on Sunday at 10:30 am against Tennessee Tech.
Looks like live stats are available for the Marshall and two Auburn games; The Auburn games look to be on ESPN3 but you may need to be a subscriber to the SEC Network to get that.. The schedule has no links for live stats, audio or video for the Furman and Tennessee Tech games. Maybe you can catch updates on the Shocker Softball twitter page for those two games.
Tulsa at #20 is the only AAC team receiving votes in the USA Today poll.
I guess we will find out quite a bit about this Shocker team by the end of the weekend.
Shocker pitching coach Ryne Stefankiewics was a graduate assistant at Auburn before comiing to Wichita State.
