Megan Fuller is the highest placed Shocker (@ 11) in the women's shot put. No points were expected here, and none were garnered.

    Hmmm....

SIU's Malaikah Love picks up her 2nd Valley Championship in the long jump. Missouri State's Kimsue Grant breaks her PR by nearly a foot to take 2nd.

Favorite La'Taish Brown for the Shockers takes 3rd.

Shocks put 2 in the finals of the 100H, about what was expected.

They probably hoped to get 1 into the 400 finals, but their highest placed prelim was 9.

Rachel York and Scarla Nero hang at the back of the lead pack in the steeple and are now losing touch.

Yea! Finally an update, and not an especially good one. WSU scores with just J'Lynn Ledesma in the high jump, and that a 5th place finish.

Again, conditions were terrible. Shocks certainly hoped for 2 if not 3 scoring finishes here.

Not enough to get worried yet, but we could be trending better at this point.

The timing system went down during the 100m prelims so the ended up hand timing the 800m prelim and steeplechase finals and will run the 100m prelim tomorrow at noon and the 400 hurdle and 200m races as "timed finals" with 2 heats of each.

For the way the meet went today, WSU did well with the exception of the women's High Jump which was not good. According to projections WSU should still be around 30 points to the good over SIU but they can't afford too many events like the HJ.

I can't get any decent updates from UNI but just a quick glance makes me think the women are finishing up a repeat of their outdoor title.

              Scores to follow.

Doesn't appear to be a good meet at all on the men's side.

Shocker women nip the Saluki women by a score of 194 to 186.5 led by auduacious Audacia Moore who won the 100M finally breaking her Momma's 28-year old school record and also broke her own school record in winning the 200M dash. For good measure she was 3rd in the triple jump, 4th in the long jump and ran on the Shock's winning 4x100 relay team. Little question that she was the meets Most Valuable Female Athlete.

Congrats to the Lady Shocks and congrats to Audacia on an outstanding meet.

                :good: :goshocks:

The meet ended up a little closer than expected but the Shockers held on for the championship and the triple crown (cross country, indoor, outdoor). Way to go ladies!

The meet wouldn't have been as close as the final score but top hurdler Natalie Morerod fell in the 400m hurdles and it made a big point swing. SIU is ranked in the top-20 in the NCAA still so this is another great victory for WSU!

Audacia, Tonya Nero, and Aliphine Tuliamuk all had monster meets for the Shocks!
