Looks like the start time has been pushed back to 7:50 pm.

Apparently, Springfield had some rain this afternoon.

The starting lineup has Sammie moved to SS, Erin at 3B and Holly as the DP. I would guess Hayley has an injury. KA is the pitcher.

The new-DP-on-the-block leads off the second with a homer. Erin walks and Rachel gets an infield single, but we cannot score again. But three singles by the Bears tie the game in the bottom half. 1-1 after two.

Erin has a one-out triple in the fourth, but we cannot cash it. In the fifth, Jamie singles with one out and Gert follows with a walk, but again, no one can deliver. Hayley strikes out as a pinch-hitter to end the sixth inning, so she can at least play in some fashion. The game remains tied at 1-1 after six complete. Katie has given up six hits, all singles, and walked only one.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Bears load the bases on two singles and a walk, but they line out to Sammie at short to end the inning. Extras.

Shocks escape a bases loaded situation in the 7th getting the 3rd out on a line drive to SS.

MSU had 2 singles and 2 walks in the inning. Shocks were fortunate that one of the Bear's runners was called out for leaving 1B early.

Katie has certainly done her part.

On to the 8th.

Shocks take the lead in the top of the eighth. Holly gets an infield single with one out, and Brittney drives her home with a double. After advancing on an infield out, she scores on another infield single, this one by Rachel. Danika is hit by a pitch to advance Rachel to second, and Kiersten scores her with a single. The Shocks take a 4-1 lead to the bottom of the eighth.

Katie gives up a one-out single, and Sloan is in to get the last two outs.
