1 run on 2 hits and she had no strikeouts....kinda hard to believe. Defense obviously was solid today.
In addition to Breezy's stellar effort in the circle the other three seniors, Kiersten, Jamie and Heather combined to go 8 for 11 with 4 Ribbies. Kiersten and Jamie homered on the Senior Day.
Thank you to Breezy, Kiersten, Jamie and Heather for four years of hard work and representing our University and Community with class. We wish you all the very best.

Evansville 1-5 Shocks
All of the elements came together in a Shocker victory ... and Sloan did not even pitch. I'm sorry - I'm bad. :)
Evansville scored in the first when their lead-off doubler (a ball not hit that well by a slapper, but deep enough in the gap between pulled-in outfielders) stole third and Gert's throw flew by Sammie who wasn't looking, being unaware of the steal attempt. :( But the seniors, Kiersten, Jamie and Gert, had back-to-back-to-back singles to tie the game in the bottom half.
The Aces had their only other hit of the game leading off the second, a high bouncer over Sammie that she almost pulled in. In the fifth, she did spear a line drive to end the inning.
Doubles by Kiersten and Gert scored another run in the third. The Shocks scored again in the fourth inning on Sammie's ground ball double by the bag at third, a ground out by Rachel and a passed ball.
In the top of the fourth, Evansville had a one-out walk, their last base runner of the day. Breezy retired the last eleven, giving up just two hits and two walks on the day. It was great to see the non-hitting senior have such a good outing on Senior Day.
And then the hitting seniors went to work again in the fifth. Kiersten and Jamie had back-to-back jacks, but Gert killed the rally with a single. :) The Shocks managed to load the bases with no outs in the inning but could not score again.
K, J and G managed eight of the ten Shocker hits, four of the five runs and all four of the RBI.
Needless to say, a very nice win for the Shocks.
Their last home games of the season are next Wednesday when KU comes to visit followed by weekend series at UNI and Bradley.
