Actually, our 3 votes puts us in 38th on the AVCA poll (if you set aside the problems of ranking past the top 25), so he actually has us higher than other human voters.

Clearly, the voters don't respect us as much as the formula driven rankings do. There are people who distrust the RPI and think it has regional bias, but most of them like Pablo, so being high in both suggest that we probably are a little undervalued in the polls. Luckily, the RPI seems to be a pretty large factor for the selection committee.

Pablo is pretty darned solid in predicting actual strength and outcome over the course of time.

Far more opinions than not have the Shocks in the tourney, with the real discussion whether CU or MSU is the 3rd Valley team.

A quick survey of the "prediction" threads on the Volley Talk forum indicates that the Shocks are a no-brainer for the NCAAs and that both Missouri State and Creighton are expected to get in. Your survey may vary.

I believe the UNI, the Shocks, MSU and Creighton are all NCAA quality teams. However, I think it is a long shot that the MVC will get four teams in. I think we have a very good shot at getting 3 teams in.

UNI is a lock. They are in. That means a very good VB team will be left standing at the alter.

The Shocks are not a lock yet. I think they can pretty much become a lock if they can defeat both UNI and Bradley this weekend.

Missouri State can also improve their position greatly with wins over both UNI and Bradley this weekend.

Creighton has Evansville and SIU at home and I anticipate they will win both of those matches.

Still a lot of volleyball to play to sort this out.

These are guys who claim to have been doing this drill for several seasons and only miss a few teams each year. But I am with you - I would be "shocked" to see four teams from the Valley, but one can always hope.
