I edited my previous post to remove the note that a transfer is coming in because I wanted independent confirmation. She is from the Pac 10 (yes, I know which school) and I have some doubts that she will have an immediate impact. I hope I am wrong but I don't see this as a big deal. (Maybe this will be our next Emily Stockman or Kelly Broussard?)
Now who is this player?
Alix Klineman?
Hayley Spelman?
Shannon Hawari? 8)
Carli Lloyd?
Katie Camp? 8)
Lauren Barfield? 8)
No, it's none of those players. :DSome posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

That would be my guess - which almost guarantees that it is someone else. I have no actual idea but a local player makes sense. On the other hand, WSU already has about 400 OHs (OK, let's say 10 OHs) and really needs a Kelly Broussard clone. Now it would be great to get Oceana Bush or Sara Johnson but I trust the WSU coaches to make good decisions; I'll root for anybody they bring in!!!Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:

Originally posted by boyshockerTransfer coming from out west, got a release from her school and should be eligible this fall.
So how long is my "Kevin Bacon" path to the truth? I'm not certain. I have co-workers who are friends and live in Newton. They have extended families, some of whom live in Newton. Their connections with "Newton volleyball" are probably third or fourth hand. Over such a lengthy path, a chance remark like "I wonder what it would be like to play for WSU" or "I wonder if my former player (teammate) might transfer to WSU" can become an absolute certainty. Thus I suggest that people take this entire thread with a huge grain of salt.
I think it is likely that WSU will get a "Transfer coming from out west" because of boyshocker's post. Nobody specifically gave me Camri's name; this seemed the natural guess based on rumors and home towns. If she comes to WSU, that is great. Just because WSU has a bunch of OHs does not mean the Shocks don't need another "Emily Stockman;" improving quality is never bad.
At the same time, WSU's need does not appear to be at the OH position. WSU has 4 MBs abd 3 Liberos; these seem like greater needs than OHs (currently, 9 or 10 OHs) or setter (with Mary Elizabeth Hooper and Chelsey Feekin, who are both great.) Finally Lambo is sneaky. He always pulls a surprise out of the hat. While I would never expect him to start a rumor about a transfer in order to divert attention from other possibilities, I would tip my hat to him if, in the end, we get some 6'6" MB or some super Libero from the "west coast" (maybe the west coast of South America. )Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:

How did I miss that?
ASU was really bad in a GREAT conference last year, and Camri didn't exactly play a ton.
Emily Stockman, Peyton Thompson or somewhere in between? Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:

Not sure about "everyone" but I have to think "anyone" that watched her understood how special Emily was/is. She will not be replaced anytime soon.
It would be awesome to see her succeed on the national level in the beach volleyball arena when she returns to full activity.

So I agree, I don't think "everyone" would be accurate, although there are no doubt "some".
