I had been waiting for Arizona to pass us, since they are undefeated and beat the team that beat us, so that doesn't both me at all.
We may have stayed in the same slot (passing one team and getting passed by another), but we gained votes and probably within striking distance of the three school directly in front of us if they slip up. In addition, by having Arizona pass us, we have less tough competition directly on our heels that could pass us without us losing.
Looking at the teams ahead of us, I really have no idea how high we could reasonably climb in the poll if we win out, but if I had to venture a guess, I would say 14-16, but a couple of teams playing poorly in conference play could shift that considerably."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

I too have been waiting for AU to pass us, and it was deserved.
Someone is going to have to lose in the PAC 10. Maybe the 8th best team in the PAC10 is the 15th best team in the country.....but their record is certainly going garner some attention.
PAC 10 teams ranked:
3.Washington
7. Oregon
10. Stanford
12. University of California @ FarLeftLiberalWhinyWhackoDingbaterkeley
13. USC
14. UCLA
19. Arizona
29. Oregon State
37. Washington State
As we are all learning, movement in the rankings, especially when you are an established power and/or playing (losing) teams ranked ahead of you, is going to happen slowly and unwillingly.
