Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Not only that but we have wins over Missouri State and Illinois State on the road that should be reflected in these rankings and a win on the road since then against Creighton.

If this is an official NCAA RPI then it needs some serious tweeking. First step is to throw the current formula in the trash.

            Additionally:

            85 - Denver
            109 - Santa Clara
            110 - Auburn
            164 - N. Texas
            210 - E. Wash.
            226 - UMKC
            246 - Depaul

If we had actually beat Hawaii, KSU or Cal Poly, I'm guessing we'd at least be in the 40s.

            Coming up:

            161 - ORU
            259 - InSU
            46 - ISU
            90 - SIU
            175 - UE

It's not going to get better any time soon.

They don't think much of our Santa Clara win as the Broncos are #109.

I promise you that number is way out of whack.

What are you going to do? All the ladies have done is sweep the #37 and #47 (both on the road), are 10-1 away from the Chuck (don't road wins count for more?), winners of 9 straight and 27-1 in games during that stretch.

PS If that doesn't tell you something, just watch them play and figure out all by yourself this team is for real. The RPI is way off in regards to the Shox, hopefully this weeks update will at least make some correction.

I can't help but continue comparing this season with 2005.

Hopefully (knock on wood), our games against Hawaii, KSU and MSU will count for more than what we did OOC in '05. IIRC, we had 2 losses in a weak OOC schedule. This year, 3 of 4 losses were to top 25 teams with the other to a solid UNI squad.

                I'm cautiously optimistic.

At least on paper it appears that this schedule is much better.

But I'm with you Royal on the optimism.

I'm cautiously optimistic as well, however, let's just win out through the MVC Tournament (which I will be attending for the first time) and eliminate all the suspense shall we!

                    Works for me.

We really need to host the MVC tournament. I don't what attendance has been like, but I can't imagine it being better anywhere else in the Valley.

I should clarify that this will be the first time I am attending the MVC Tournament away from Wichita.

I did attend the Tournament when last held in Wichita, which the Shockers won, of course.

My memory is slipping. I forgot that we hosted it three years ago.

                          We need it again!

We have a bid in for '08 and I can all but promise you we will host.

Was 3 years ago the ONLY time we have hosted the MVC VB Tournament?
