I have to say that was an impressive win for the Shocks.

I really did not expect a dominating sweep by the Shocks tonight, especially with the way UNI tossed aside MSU last night.

Maybe the Shocks just needed this challenge to wake them up.

already paid for my WSU bus trip to springfield!!! This will be a real special trip. I have not missed a home game now in three years, but my first away game. I also can hardly wait till friday. I thought this game would be a lot closer, but the Shocks were really on their game.

You would think so, but who knows with the NCAA. If they can leave our great 2005 team out of the Tournament altogehter than anything is possible.

Let's just not leave anything to chance and win out through the MVC Tournament.

I am assuming that we will have at least the possibility of witnessing Wichita State Sports History if the Shocks can defeat MSU next Friday.

IIRC, our 2005 team was the 1st WSU team to ever finish an MVC Conference season undefeated.

If we defeat MSU next Friday this team will become the 2nd team to accomplish that feat. Therefore, I am assuming they would also be the 1st to complete a regular season undefeated.

Is that the case? Anyone know for sure?

Steamrolled 'em. That's how you dominate a good opponent. I don't think anyone should be questioning WSU's ranking. This is pretty remarkable.

Uh, let's not just assume anything. The last time we went undefeated in the Valley we didn't even make the freakin' tournament. Granted, it's different circumstances now.

I think if we win at MSU and make it into the Valley title game, that should almost lock it up.

An undefeated season (add in our attendance stats) and I don't see how the NCAA denies us a hosting spot.

BTW, the Shockers extended their record MVC Conference regular season road winning streak to 37 matches this weekend with one more to play on the road this year.

Last road loss was to Creighton on October 23, 2004.

That is more than a little impressive.
