#5 Washington did finish off #10 USC in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 26-24 and 25-19.

USC plays Washington State on Sunday which should be an easy win for USC.

#6 Cal who lost at unranked Arizona on Friday in 5 sets takes on unranked Arizona State tonight. Arizona State is coming off a very competitive 3-Set loss to #2 ranked Stanford losing by scores of 25-23, 26-24 and 25-20. So this is no gimme for Cal.

The most important thing for the Shocks though is to keep winning in order to secure a sub-regional hosting assingment for the first 2 rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Then, hopefully, we will get our shot to see how we stack up against the elite teams.

A loss to E-ville at home tonight would greatly damage those chances, not to mention our lofty ranking.

Looking forward to honoring our two outstanding seniors tonight also.'

        Thanks.

Isn't that like 8 losses for USC this year?

I'm sure they're all quality losses (if that's such a thing), but don't you think they're getting a lot of easy passes just for doing average against a difficult schedule?

You have to beat a few good teams once in a while..

        I dunno. I could be flat-out wrong.

USC (13-8, 6-6 Pac-10) has some good wins. USC beat
        9/6/2008 Home W San Diego 26-24, 25-17, 25-17
        9/26/2008 Home W *UCLA 24-26, 25-14, 20-25, 25-14, 15-5
        10/25/2008 Home W *California 25-22, 16-25, 17-25, 25-19, 15-13
        10/31/2008 Home W *Oregon 25-21, 15-25, 12-25, 25-21, 23-21

On the other hand, UCLA (16-7, 6-6 Pac-10) has only one good win:
        8/31/2008 Away W Hawaii 23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 30-28

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Overall, I thought the Shocks played pretty well tonight. Maybe a little bit flat in the 3rd set, but hey give E'ville some credit.

Remember E'ville put a 3-1 whipping on UNI last weekend and have been playing pretty well. The big Latvian girl was pretty impressive tonight for E-ville.

Congratulations to Angela and Kelly for playing well on thier Senior night. Two absolutely wonderful young ladies.

How about Sarah Mac's line: 17-0-28 = 0.607. That is a dominant hitting night. Very Impressive.

Shocks served very well tonight with 7 aces vs 6 errors. Much improved over Friday night.

Kelly B. with another ho-hum night with 33 digs. Talk about liking your job.

Shocks clinch a share of the MVC regular season championship. Magic number is down to 1.

All in all a very enjoyable evening.

              :posterwu: :good:

I feel like this is deja vu all over again.. but

Way ta go ladies! I watched the first 2 sets on SV, and just came back to check the score and saw that another set was dropped.

                It's a little disconcerning but I really can't complain about a win and a 26-0 record.

The only downside was that only a little over 3k came out to close down the home portion of the regular season. Only puts us at No.5 in the nation.

Other than that, keep it up.. and let's finish this out!!

Great Senior night. Thank you Kelly and Angela for providing so much enjoyment over the past 5 years.

You deserve the success you are having this year. Enjoy the ride and finish strong.

Thank you for providing leadership and for displaying a wonderful example of what a successful student athlete should be.

Appropriately, the loudest cheers during their introductions tonight were when they announced both young ladies had made the Honor Roll every semester since they arrived at WSU.

No doubt both ladies are going to experience supreme success whatever they decide to do after school.

We stayed for quite a while after the game. Watching all the smiles, all the parents and all the joy this team spreads is really something special.

                  Thank you ladies!

It was great to see Angela getting some playing time and playing well. I like it from the perspective both that it was senior night and it keeps allowing more players seeing time in real games. It only adds to the depth of this team. That was something we lacked in 2006.

No sign.....I'm not a sign guy. They usually annoy the people around you. I once knocked out an Alabama fan who waved a pompom in my face 412 too many times. Why might you ask?

Honestly, I was just being random. When I was watching the match last night on Vision, I saw a guy holding a sign thanking the two seniors. I just thought I had ta ask.

Are you in the ICT Fever? I didn't realize they allowed locals to purchase ShockerVision....perhaps it's just for non-basketball events....I've always thought there should be no restrictions for anyone that wanted to buy...I don't there is anyone that would want to watch even men's basketball games on their computer vs being there in person. For instance I know I would buy it if available 1) to support the product and 2) just in case I couldn't make a game I know I could catch it.

Taking MEH out and having ST set was priceless. "Our setter is 6'5" because we want the shorter players setting."

I believe Fever is now in the NY/NJ area. I know last year I watched a couple of games online but I believe they're bringing back the blackout this year since it's not officially sold out for each game.
