Colorado State Loses

According to the Volleytalk thread (Gametracker froze up) UNLV beat Colorado State 3-1. Opens the door for us to move up if we can take care of UNI Friday night.

Maybe, but I would guess no. CSU still has quality wins and UNLV isn't the worst team by any stretch.

I'd be surprised if we moved ahead of CSU even if we were fortunate enough to sweep UNI.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you on this one. This week, Hawai'i lost over 100 points in the poll after spending a week going 1-1. If Wichita State can win tonight, I could see them overtaking CSU, albeit not by a large margin. Maybe by 25-35 points.

Shocks will sqeeze by CSU in the National Attendance Rankings moving up from #9 to #8 (2,812 per game vs 2,798 for CSU).

I predict the Shocks will do the same in the AVCA Coaches Poll sqeezing by the Rams into the #13 spot.

Let's hope #13 is not unlucky for the Shocks.

I hope you guys are right and I am wrong but I said it a month ago and I still believe it that we are as high as we are going to be in the poll.


Lack of good competition is really going to hurt us come tourney time, imho.

I watched MSU v UM and we can play with the Gophers any day but they are going to be so much more battle tested.

Actually, #13 IMHO is very lucky. There were 13 original colonies, 13 stripes on the flag, 13 olive leaves and stars on the U.S. seal. There are 13 layers on the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill, the eagle on the back of the dollar is holding 13 arrows just to name a few.
