Volleyball should have been front page sports section news today instead of tucked into the second page.

This team deserves more and better coverage and the dorks at the Eagle are missing the bus. If they would spend a little time putting the girls on the front page, attendance might improve also.

This is a great story and leave it to the Eagle to blow the opportunity.

    Yes you are right.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

He is right, but since Football rules the fall, it's gonna be hard to take that sports place on the front cover on a Sunday morning. Football makes money, alot of money. Volleyball doesn't.

But why the Dodgers love story taking up almost the exact amount of space on the bottom. BTW... Dodger fan.

Not to play devil's advocate but the Eagle doesn't send anyone on the road trips for volleyball and I think everyone can understand why.

Now, personally, I think WSU could do a better job and, frankly, should do a better job of getting the media the information they can use.

Perhaps one of the assistants could provide more details or work a deal with the visiting school to put together a highlight reel.....have Mike Kennedy tape the postgame and send it in.....lots of things could be improved imho if someone will just think outside the box.

i have to question the Devil Advocate here. you don't have to send someone. They have the radio, plus can get fan updates and reactions from this great site called Shockernet. i'm not saying the Dodgers aren't important, but i doubt there are as many LA baseball fans as there are Shocker Volleyball fans. And the fact they are undefeated and highly attended should help thier cause.

We don't have a local football team last time I checked? Shorten the Texas / OU story and at least get a lead on the Volleyball on the front page...what a slap.

The devil's advocate enjoys being questioned :good: .

I'm just trying to point out it is a 2 way street and both parties (the Eagle AND the U) have a responsibility that, I think, falls short of expectations.

But what do I know....it's hot down here.
