#8 Oregon lost to Arizona tonight in 4. I don't know what kind of affect that will have on Oregon (probably not much), but thought it was worth mentioning.

In addition, #10 UCLA lost to #7 Cal in 5 and #9 USC lost to #2 Stanford in 4. I doubt either UCLA or USC will be penalized in the polls (since losses to less highly ranked teams haven't).

UCLA and USC are travel partners in the PAC 10, so now they flip flop with UCLA playing #2 Stanford and USC playing #7 Cal on the road on Saturday night.

Next weekend UCLA and USC play each other.

If the Shocks win the MVC Tournament I see them moving back into the Top 10. They may even make it this week.

I could see Oregon falling enough after the loss to Arizona to slip behind us. Arizona is no longer getting votes in the poll. However, there is a 162-point gap between WSU and Oregon.

That gives them nine losses now.

Come on AVCA 9 or 0. 9 or 0.

#9 UCLA lost to #2 Stanford in five sets on Saturday night by scores of 15-25, 25-20, 15-25, 26-24 and 11-15.

Doubt that this loss will hurt UCLA and probably should not.

I'll say it again that the Shockers will be ranked # 8 soon enough. Most likely by the time the NCAA tournament rolls around. They are for real and the other possers from the Pac-10 will find out the hard way. I think the ladies are really feeding off of the no respect card. Which took some on the boards here awhile to give them the respect when they got into the top 10. Well they will be back, baby, they will be back.

That's true ASSUMING the Shocks take care of business in the MVC Tournament on Friday and Saturday evenings.

I hope Shocker fans a ready to get out and support the Ladies 'en masse and to show the the appreciation they deserve for an abosulutely fantastic season.

I hope the season divides into three subseasons.
                          1. (29 matches) regular season
                          2. (4 matches) MVC tourney and NCAA subregional at WSU
                          3. (4 matches) NCAA regional and Final Four

Our goal now is to win the "home" playoffs (i.e. 2.). If we accomplish this, we can look forward to season 3.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I'll be there for the tournament. If the Shockers go undefeated at home the rest of the way, that would be the icing on the cake and make this already special season even more special. Man this is going to be fun, fun, fun.!

doc Wiichita and I don't see anybody beating them at their place.
