How about that for a confidence builder for a relatively young team.

I had planned on attending, but couldn't make it work.

I'm really kicking myself right now.

          Great job Shocks.

Dr, how many Shocker fans made the trip down to Norman?

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Shocks showed a fast learning curve in the Cal Poly match.

Now let's see if they can sustain it for two more tough matches.

Cal Poly is a down (a little bit) at the setter position but they are really, really good....better than the team I saw last year in Wichita and THAT team went to the Sweet 16.

I really thought we were going to be good this season but I didn't expect this.....

There is no room for error in the rest of the tourney.....this win won't mean much if we don't play with 100% focus tonight and in the morning.

This is Lambo's best team I think...but they aren't so good that they can mail it in against a really solid team in OU and MSU.....

It will be interesting to see how the ladies respond tonight off the high of a big win.

                        I always overstate these things....lots of family for sure.....maybe 150 or so....finding a good seat wasn't a problem.

Great old facility north of the football stadium.

Everyone on this board is going to get sick of me clammering for Volleyball attendance this year if there aren't huge crowds at the Chuck on a regular basis. There is no reason not to attend.

There is something for everyone and the matches are going to be really fast against some teams....hell we'll beat Indiana State in about 30 minutes.

I will withhold any hoop news as well if some of you don't go to the games.

Sounds like a good policy to me Doc!

Lamb went with a small lineup often, using defensive specialist Sarah Waldorf with Broussard and Melissa Granville in the back row. The switch helped WSU handle serves and get into its offense. Middle Sarah McGee benefited _ she recorded two kills in the fourth and fifth sets. She had one in the first three.

"The little people on our team won that match," Lamb said. "That's a very mature blocking team over there. You're not going to fake them out unless you pass well and do some things. I thought we finally got that going."

Doc: Do you know why Stephanie Tokarz didn't play much? Is she hurt? Did other players earn the playing time over her?

She did not look good but I don't think for a minute she would be playing at all if hurt....Sarah and Katie are physically talented but not as tall as Steph.....I don't know.....something isn't quite right though.

Stephanie does have chronic problems with her feet and it is hard to say how much that is bothering her. She had problems with that from time to time last year.

OTH, Lambo is very high on Sara McGee and also said Katie has looked very good during this year's pre-season workouts.
