“We started out this match playing pretty decently and Jasmine had a monster game. We lost the first set in serving-passing. We got aced and we missed too many. And if you look at that category alone, they’re plus-one, we’re minus-eight. That is a nine-point differential just in that, service errors and service aces. We really didn’t put enough service pressure. Their setting is outstanding. Their off-setting tempo is much faster than ours, we tried to prepare for, but really didn’t do a very good job of it because it was faster than what we prepared for. They had zero hitting errors in the second game, one hitting error in the third game. So those are the numbers of extremely mature team and we had way more than that and didn’t block. I thought our blocks did some okay things at time, but really this was a one-sided match. My hats off to Wichita State, they showed us some things we need to get better at and now we look at Texas.” – CSU head coach Tom Hilbert’s general thoughts on the match

Missouri State battling #12 Ohio State tough in Springfield. Bears are up 2-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-21) but are trailing 17-12 in the 4th set.

Update: Ohio State hung on to win Set 4 25-22 but the Lady Bears tooks the 5th set 15-12 to pick up a very nice win. Looks like the Lady Bears will be a load to handle this year.

Looks like Lambo may be able to use the Samford match to work on some things, maybe the 6-2, and get some live court time for some of his less experienced players.

Dani is out for the match against Texas after not passing a post-match concussion protocol on Thursday. She got smacked in the head by a kill. Giorgia is the libero.

Dani Mostrom not available for the Texas match due to a concussion protocol resulting from the spike Dani took to the forehead in the Colorado State match.

Hope Dani recovers quickly. She was starting to play pretty well. We sure could have used her today. Hopefully, Giorgia can step up big time today. Tough spot for a freshman.

5-5 and the audio is gone. That was too good to be true.

I did get the pre-game either but I did not tune in until match time. Got about 10 points in before someone pulled the plug.

At this point it's Live Stats and ShockerNet as my only options to follow the match.
