1)Create a competitive non conference schedule and do well. Check

2)Win the MVC Check

3)Win the MVC postseason tourney. Check

4)Advance in the NCAA tourney...won then lost to the eventual National Champion.

He especially touted Karen Augspurger, who played (not just on the team, but on the court) for a team that won the European championship one year. That level of play is the highest post-collegiate level for any Shocker.
